Selection

A multibrand store is all about balance, and the final selection is no exception, being the synthesis of more than ten years of business. I built a long-term, trusted relationship with all the brands that were part of the final brand mix. Below are a few words introducing them.

Arpenteur in Beaubien selection

Arpenteur (FR, est. 2011)

Stockist for 19 seasons, 2015-2024

If Arpenteur is what we could call a low-profile brand, it is to better highlight the products they develop with the greatest care in their Lyon workshop. That is a brand that claims nothing, except a certain idea of quality, singularity and sophistication. Cuts are relaxed and very contemporary, fabrics carefully sourced and all the products made in France. For some inspirations here is an interview (2015) of Arpenteur co-founder Laurent Bourven

Cableami in Beaubien selection

Câbleami (JP, est. 2008)

Stockist for 19 seasons, 2014-2024

Câbleami offers everything I appreciate in a brand: the concern for quality of course, the consistency in focusing on a single category of products (here headwear in all its variations, for warm and cold days), the sense of detail. All their products are carefully crafted in Japan from the best materials and they keep maintaining singularity by carefully updating their collections every season.

FOB Factory was the latest addition to the brand mix. All garments are manufactured in Japan in the company factory. The Japanese label offers iterations of workwear, Ivy style or military clothing classics. Vintage-looking materials are developed with the greatest care, quality is great and fits are flawless.

Howlin’ is a Belgian brand specialized in warm and cosy knitwear. Both playful and timeless, Howlin' products are carefully manufactured in Scotland or Ireland and made from high-quality yarns. They stand out with their soft handfeel, updated contemporary fits and signature colors.

Norse Projects in Beaubien selection

Norse Projects (DK, est. 2004)

Stockist for 21 seasons, 2014-2024

Copenhagen-based Norse Projects instantly became the key brand of the selection. Offering each season a wide range of products the label is expert at making menswear staples. The Danish brand is the perfect example of the Scandinavian way of designing clothing that is versatile, well cut and comfortable with quality and simplicity in mind. Their signature styles are now classic ones.

Orslow in Beaubien selection

Orslow (JP, est. 2005)

Stockist for 23 seasons, 2013-2024

For over ten years I was lucky enough to work with cult Japanese label Orslow, starting from the very first day of the store! The brand was founded and designed by Ichiro Nakatsu, a collector of vintage clothing. All the products are made in Japan. The fabrics are amazing (from Japan, obviously) and always age in the most beautiful way, with some very unique textures and patina. The styles are flawless, both inspired by vintage clothing in all its forms (denim, workwear, military) and with carefully updated fits to keep their relevance for today. For me it's the perfect balance: if the inspirations come from vintage clothing, the products are not just replica but contemporary products, whether signature denim, fatigue pants or work trousers.

Rototo in Beaubien selection

Rototo (JP, est. 2014)

Stockist for 12 seasons, 2018-2024

It looks like we finally pay the much needed attention to the socks we wear, and a brand like Rototo is probably no stranger to that. The Japanese brand has become the benchmark for quality socks, standing out for the diversity of its product range, offering carefully crafted products in many materials, colors and textures.
