Beaubien was an independent, multibrand store dedicated to quality casual menswear. It operated in Paris and online for more than 11 years, from April 2013 to November 2024.

PHILOSOPHY

Behind the foundation of Beaubien, there was a long-time passion for great, hard-to-find products, and the idea of supporting and introducing fresh brands to Paris. I was inspired by the new wave of menswear retailers, labels and blogs that emerged in the 2010s.

I personally handpicked every item part of the selection with a focus on high-quality, easy-to-wear but not ordinary casual clothing. Products were sourced internationally (Japan, Scandinavia, UK, France, US). I paid a lot of attention to the materials, textures and potential patina. It was also important for me to appeal to anyone into quality products, fashion-minded or not, of any age, so versatility, comfort and cut of the garments were key elements.

SELECTION

A multibrand store is all about balance, and the final selection is no exception, being the synthesis of more than ten years of business. I built a long-term, trusted relationship with all the brands that were part of the final brand mix: Arpenteur (FR), Câbleami (JP), FOB Factory (JP), Howlin’ (BE), Norse Projects (DK), Orslow (JP), Rototo (JP), Sunray (GB), Universal Works (GB).

PRESS REVIEW

Beaubien is a small, carefully curated men’s clothing store, at once stylised and individual. […] The chic wood décor frames sophisticated sportswear, clean lines and quality materials from Scandinavia, Japan and America.
